April 16th, 2016 – Play It Forward at The Polk Theatre Play It Forward Polk is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization raising money for musical instruments for kids in our Polk County public schools who cannot afford them. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., children 6 & under are free. Donate a musical instrument & you get in free. Wristband given at the door allows you to come & go throughout the event. Concessions available. $15 General Admission $10 with Student ID Tickets available in advance by contacting 863.682.7553 or through the Polk Theatre website: www.polktheatre.org. Sun. June 8th – Play it FORWARD Live Music Charity Event at The Polk Theatre

Sunday at 12:00pm – 10:00pm Show Map The Polk Theatre 121 South Florida Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33801 A full day of live music by local musicians benefiting the Polk County Schools music education program. Music education, especially toward the fields of science, medicine, and engineering, has been proven to provide a strong foundation for learning. Today, Polk schools’ music education program continues to suffer from significant budget reductions on top of increased student enrollment.
