The city bought an old Massachusetts Avenue church building in 2010 for $500,000, and Monday the City Commission agreed to sell it for $132,000. That might not sound like a good deal, but commissioners voted 7-0 to do it to because of the work that will be done out of it and to keep the structure at 719 Massachusetts Ave. from possibly sliding into disrepair.
