Residents are worried that one of the city’s historic structures could be history — in the wrong sense of the word. The former Carpenter’s Home, a 1920s-era, Mediterranean-style building now owned by Tampa-based Without Walls International Church, has fallen into decline since it ceased being used as a private school in 2006. Local residents say broken windows, graffiti and interior damage now define the three-story building on the shore of Lake Gibson.
