Lakeland Mimi’s Cafe to Close on Monday
The national chain, Mimi’s, is closing its Lakeland store at Lakeside Village, on Monday July 21st, 2014. The 145-unit chain was acquired last year by California-based French Company Le Duff America Inc. who boasted annual sales of $1.53 billion and more than 1,100 restaurants and bakeries, was just not as successful as it hoped here in Polk County. The Lakeland location was the only Mimi’s in Polk County and one of only 10 in Florida.
