An officer who stepped down last year after an accidental shooting was reprimanded for driving an agency car to Orlando, but not for leaving two boys unattended in his vehicle with a loaded gun.
Rawn Haynes resigned from Lakeland Police Department in November after the conclusion of a criminal case against him related to the shooting. An Orange County judge acquitted him of a culpable negligence charge, but convicted him of improperly storing a firearm.
