Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror

501 E Main St, Lakeland, Florida 33801

T.Mims Corp. Red, White & Kaboom Fireworks Independence Celebration will take place at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade on Sunday, July 3rd from 5:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a breathtaking fireworks display dazzling the crowd at 9 p.m. after Clemons Road and opening act FOUNT entertain the crowd.

This is a FREE event but we are asking that everyone who is attending to please bring at least one non-perishable food item. Chow for Now will be collecting canned food items that will be donated to VISTE.

Red, White & Kaboom festivities will start with a live concert featuring opening act FOUNT who will get the crowd started with their own brand of Americana. FOUNT will take the stage at 5 p.m. The eight-piece band will set the mood for the start of a great Independence Day Celebration. Fount is a folk/americana band hailing from Lakeland and they started as an outlet for songwriters Tosh Sergeant
and Jeremy Hearn. It soon blossomed to a band of eight dedicated musicians who weave carefully orchestrated songs about love, faith and hope. Fount gives the folk tradition a modern reboot.

At 6 p.m. the energetic Clemons Road Band will command the crowd blending country music with an island feel. The band pulls their influences from Sublime to Alan Jackson, Dave Matthews to Jimmy Buffet, or Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Zac Brown Band. They keep heads bobbing and toes tapping with their own blend of beach country. Clemons Road features an extremely talented and charismatic front man, Grammy award winning music producer Cliff brown on lead vocals and guitar. Keeping up with Red, White & Kaboom tradition, there will also be a watermelon eating contest that takes place around 7 p.m. The contest is limited to school aged children and there will be members from the Parks & Recreation Department to assist with sign-ups.

Tom Mims, President of T. Mims Corporation said, “We are very excited to sponsor Red, White & Kaboom again this year. It is an excellent opportunity for our community to come together in celebration of our great country and it is free to the public.”

This year there will be an exceptional fireworks show. Because of the construction at Joker Marchant Stadium there will be no July 4th celebration at Tigertown. The fireworks that were pre-purchased for that show will now be included in the Red, White & Kaboom celebration so it really will be Red, White & KABOOM!

During Red, White & Kaboom there will be a variety of food trucks around Lake Mirror so bring a blanket, bring your appetite and enjoy the festivities in celebrating our great nation. The event will conclude with a dramatic display of fireworks over the lake. The evening is free to the public and everyone attending is encouraged to bring at least one food item to benefit Chow for Now/VISTE. All City parking garages will be open for T.Mims Corp. Red, White & Kaboom. For more information go towww.lakelandgov.net.
