A contingent of Newt Gingrich supporters watched Monday night’s debate as it beamed into the dining room of a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s in Davenport. Gingrich was hot off a primary election win in South Carolina, and Mitt Romney was expected to try to regain some of his momentum. They were expecting some fireworks, but got something less exciting, said Linda Ivell, state committeewoman for the Polk County Republicans.
