Charter planes usually aren’t so bumpy — and they don’t have .50-caliber guns sticking out of most windows. But hearing the roar and feeling the rumble of four propeller engines on a near 70-year-old World War II-era bomber plan as it screams into flight is unforgettable, said passengers and pilots Monday.
