A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy accepted a top state honor Tuesday. Speaking by phone from Tallahassee, Michael Braswell described his momentary shock upon learning he’d won Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s award for Top Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
