The Lakeland Center will play host to the Lakeland Pro Rodeo Classic this month.

On Jan. 17-18, the event will showcase cowboys and cowgirls as they take to the floor for seven different events, including bull riding, bareback-bronc riding, saddle-bronc riding, tie down roping, team roping, steer wrestling and women’s barrel racing.

There also will be Women’s Professional Rodeo Association Co-Approved Junior Barrel Racing on Jan. 17 and the finals Jan. 18. Registration opens at noon Friday and runs until noon Monday. Kids’ Night will be both days as well, and two kids ages 2-12 will be admitted free with each Gold and Silver Horseshoe adult ticket. Parking is $7 and tickets are $45 for the Gold Buckle, $25 for the Golden Horseshoe and $20 for the Silver Horseshoe. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. both days, and the action starts at 8 p.m.
